So what did I do fitness wise today? Well, it was my first day back to doing anything active, so I still can’t breathe very well. I have limited use of just my left nostril :|

Anyway, I did something that I hadn’t done in a while, I jumped rope! Man, that’s a good workout! My lungs were absolutely on fire! I basically do one minute intervals. And I wanted to complete 30 sets. I got up to 18 and had to stop. At that point, every single time I jumped up and down, it felt like my lungs were just about to fall off. The good thing is, even though I hadn’t jumped rope for about eight months, it’s the most I’ve been able to do, ever.

Food wise I basically had Subway, all day. For lunch I usually get a six inch with chicken noodle soup, so I did that today. For dinner, I splurged and got the steak and cheese. Currently, I’m mainly counting calories and not much else. I can eat up to 1730 calories a day in order to lose 1.5 pounds a week. So, I’m on pace for that right now!

I’ll be back to running Thursday morning. The goal for Thursday morning is four miles in 45 minutes. That may seem like a long time, but that’s good for me, at least at this point.

Sick…again

For some reason, I’m sick…again. It seems like from the beginning of the year, I just keep coming down with something. Usually, I get sick maybe once a year. This year, it’s just coming back time after time (reminds me of the 80s).

No running, working out, going out, or doing anything interesting. I’m just going to stay home until I fully recover, and then it’s back to the routine. 

Goals for 3-8-13

So my fitness goal for today is really simple, get to the gym and workout. Do some cardio, run on the treadmill, use the elliptical, and just burn some calories. As long as I do that today, I’ll be happy.

I will run at least two miles on the treadmill, and then decide if I wanna play basketball, do the elliptical, or do the stair master. Either way, it’ll be a good burn!
