Yeah, we did it again. I didn’t do the pull ups this time, well…I did, but I did jumping pull ups. And we accidentally did four rounds instead of three.
So, I’ve definitely made progress.
Workout – Helen
400 M run
12 pullups (most were jumping pullups)
Wowzah, this was a bloody good workout!
Three minute AMRAP – Shoulder to overhead (95 pounds)
Rest two minutes
Three minute AMRAP – Front squats
Rest two minutes
Three minute AMRAP – Burpee over bar
This was a total burn! I hadn’t sweat that much in a while, and it was amazing. Totally awesome.
I teamed up with someone I hadn’t met before, Kyle, and we did pretty damn good. I carried him with the shoulder to overhead, but he was quite strong with the front squats. Burpees we were about even.
Anyway, our score is up there in the picture. That’s what we did each round for each movement. Good times.
You know, I don’t post as often as I should, and definitely don’t post every workout. I just post the ones where there is a strength portion, or my time doesn’t depend on anyone else.
Working out is fun now, cause the workouts always vary, so it’s not the same muscle movements repeatedly. You’re not alone at the gym, you’re in a group, all moving towards the same goal.

I’m actually pretty proud of my time cause one of the guys that has competed and is taking intermediate level classes finished just over a minute before me.

This I’m super proud of! Duke, another guy from the intermediate level classes, and I had the exact same time! Felt like a total stud!
My three rep max bench press has increased by at least 10 pounds, pretty damn good.
I may have been able to push just a little bit more, but it wasn’t worth it yesterday. Met a really cute new chick, aii caramba! She’s hot. Seems very chill and laid back from my conversation with her. She was surprised that I was born in Iran, cause by looking at me everyone assumes I’m Mexican. Busted out a little Farsi, and hopefully the panties will be dropping soon!

The Spartan Race is right around the corner. One of the challenges given is to do 30 burpees a day for 30 days. I can do this! It seems easy. I’ll up the ante every day and increase the number of burpees by 5.

10 KB step ups (20 inch box)
5 push ups
So the workout of the day was a partner workout. Pretty fun and simple. One partner starts and does 200 M row, 10 kettle bell step ups (20 inch box), 5 push ups. As soon as you’re done, the other partner goes.
So, two six-minute AMRAP (as many rounds as possible) of the following workouts.
10 pull ups
10 wall balls
10 toes to bar
I had to modify quite a bit of this workout for me to be able to do it.
Since I ripped my hand, and still am not that strong, I did ring rows instead of the pull ups. For the dips I used a box instead of the actual bar.
The wall balls I was fine on, and toes to bar, I hate you, but I just lifted my legs as high as I could.
