Cindy – We Meet Again

Hi there Cindy! Hope you’re doing well. We’ve been introduced a few times, and each time you seem to kick my ass. I can’t even get into the double-digit range with you. You smile while I’m out of breath, sweaty, and wondering why I’m not doing better at the workout.

You kick my ass every time, but I promise you, next time, I’m going to do way better. I’m going to complete at least 12 rounds, that’s my goal. If it’s not put into the programming, I’m going to do is on my own, and complete 12 freaking rounds.

I can and will do it.

So, it’s been a long while since I’ve posted anything. The truth is, I’ve just gotten really lazy with posting my results. My diet has been horrible recently, and I went camping a little over a month ago, and ever since I came back my back has been killing me. Today was my first day back in about two weeks.

It felt good to be back in the gym working out, I actually missed it. Anyway, while working out I was trying not to go too crazy to hurt my back again, but my time for Helen was pretty good.

Helen:

Strict Press

Cheerio! Long time no post!

I’m still working out, don’t fret. Not stopping that in any way. I just don’t post here because apparently it’s too much work to do so. But, as of today…I’m back! …for today, ha.

Anyway, last night we did two rep max strict presses. Holy bejesus, you’d think I’d be stronger by now, but not really.

Bench Press

So for some reason my right knee has been killing me the past few days…but only when I squat or go below parallel.  Then, while running I twisted my left ankle stepping on a rock. My lower body basically hates me right now.

So for the strength portion we were supposed to do front squats, but it was modified for me cause of my knee, so I did bench press instead.

I can’t remember right now what my previous best was, although I’m sure it’s noted somewhere in these posts…but I beat it.

21-15-9 Wall Balls/Box Jumps/KBS/Sit Ups

This was one tiring workout. Holy moly! And no, still not posting all my workouts, just don’t feel like it.

Anyway, this workout was awesome. It’s a partner workout, and this is how it works. You both start working out at the same time.

Partner 1:
21 wall balls
21 box jumps

Partner 2:
21 KBS
21 sit ups

Once you’re both done with that, you go on a 200 meter run together. Come back and switch workouts.

Partner 1:
21 KBS
21 sit ups

Partner 2:
21 wall balls
21 box jumps

Once you’re both done, run 200 meters together. You continue doing that for the set of 15 and the set of 9.

It was me and Carlos working as a team. Our main competitors were Humberto and Rob, and Matthew and Gadi. It came down to us vs Humberto and Rob, and we beat them by one second!

SMMF – Burpees

Single movement mind fuck…very interesting name for a workout. It’s a very simple concept, one workout for a specific amount of time, and you do as many reps are possible.

This time is was burpees for seven minutes. I’m actually pretty good with my burpees cause of the burpee challenge I did earlier. I had the best score in the entire class, although it was only two more than the second person. Still counts for first place though :)
